Flip into Alpha, and you're rewarded with tight tone with a brilliantly sickening punch and masses of definition, while Omega gives you that pure brutality. The foundation of the 500 is shaped by the new, Darkglass-developed Class-D power amp and ultra-silent graphic equaliser, all made in Finland and housed in an immediately recognisable housing.

The Alpha·Omega 500: The Comprehensive Gigging Tool

Due to popular demand, Darkglass have included a digital impulse response cabinet emulator in the architecture of the Alpha·Omega 500. This can be applied to both the headphone output as well as the XLR DI output, so that you're assured of the best possible sound quality whether on stage or in the studio, and since this is a pro-grade amp, an FX loop has been fitted to accommodate your pedalboard. This head can even be hooked up to a computer via USB, to connect with the Darkglass Suite, where you can toggle and tweak all of the various parameters with more deep-diving accuracy.
